It's quite different from the comics' version of Chase, who debuted in 2013 and tried to start a romance with Bruce. She thinks he could change Gotham for the better, but it's odd she's funding him when he clearly needs help, and when he has evidence fingering him as a suspect.

Sadly, their romance fizzled by the time Batman & Robin came out two years later. Luckily, by movie's end, the Batman was able to save her from Two-Face and Riddler.
